Did you know that the Finger Lakes is home to Grapehound, a celebration of greyhounds? My sister has a greyhound - they are cute and quirky dogs, and even though they CAN run really fast, they spend most of their time laying around. They’re also hypoallergenic, which is great if someone in your family has allergies.
If you have a greyhound, consider bringing them to this event!! Wineries have arms wide open for this awesome dog.
There's a summer event and a winter event. Greyhounds from all over the northeast will be casually hanging out with their owners at many of the venues of the northern Finger Lakes (Geneva-Seneca Falls) all weekend. If you come across any of these beautiful and laidback charmers at local wineries, breweries, or similar, don't be afraid to say hello - they're very peaceful and loving doggies!
