Spotlight on: Hosmer Winery of the Cayuga Wine Trail

Hosmer Winery is a winery located in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York, USA. The winery was founded in 1985 by Cameron and Maren Hosmer and is now owned and operated by their son, Aaron Hosmer.

I'm actually a member of their Wine Club and I LOVE drinking their wine!!!

The winery sits on a picturesque 70-acre estate overlooking Cayuga Lake, one of the region's largest and deepest bodies of water. The estate includes 28 acres of vineyards, which are planted with a variety of grapes including Riesling, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, and Pinot Noir.

Hosmer Winery produces a range of wines, including dry and sweet white wines, red wines, and dessert wines. Their signature wine is their Riesling, which has won numerous awards and is highly regarded for its balance and complexity.

(Despite their penchant for winning awards, they also do really FUN wines that I personally really enjoy, like their Berri wine which tastes like, well, berries, but it's not sweet...very unique, you have to try it. They also do wine slushies so the non-vintner members of your group will be happy too!).

In addition to their wine production, Hosmer Winery also offers tastings, tours, and events throughout the year. Visitors can enjoy a guided tour of the vineyards and winery, followed by a tasting of Hosmer's wines in their tasting room, which features beautiful views of Cayuga Lake. The winery also hosts events such as wine and food pairings, live music, and wine education classes.
